Electronic AC surge protection - modify circuit
this is my first question, so there may be some mistakes.
I was asked for help with designing an electronic AC overvoltage protection. My buddy were able to design this so far:

However, he has no more time for this project and I would like to finish it. He told me that this will not work for AC and pointed out these modifications:
change Q1 to tyristor with MOC3042
rectify and filter the voltage for electronics
