Is it true that Apple introduced the microsim to prevent technological advances for NFC payments?
I have heard this from a few times now that a number of Mobile networks in different territories wanted to use the SIM card as a way to add on an additional NFC payment chip. Apple found out about it and made the SIM smaller to prevent this from hapening, but it looks like now they can finally put the technology onto a microsim anyway. My question is if anyone else has heard this? Does anyone know it as fact? and why would Apple do such a thing?
